What to Expect in a Coaching Session:

Each session is tailored to your particular needs and what will create the greatest shifts for you.

Sessions often include question asking and guided self-inquiry intended to identity and transform subconscious beliefs, patterns and blocks bringing you to greater peace and happiness within yourself. They may also include various forms of energy balancing and clearing to dynamically shift your mood and your state of being.

Unlike conventional therapy where sometimes you'll leave feeling raw, vulnerable or drained, most often you'll leave a session feeling lighter, happier, clearer, more peaceful and eager to take empowered action. Elana employs decades of experience in healing and personal development to create dynamic shifts, insights and understandings designed to bring you to greater self-awareness, peace and happiness and create lasting transformation in your life.  

She blends her own intuitive sensitivities with the tools of Transnational Kinesiology and other healing modalities to quickly and easily access the most important and relevant information to create the greatest shift in the least amount of time. One thing clients love about this work is how quickly it can zero in on the most important and relevant issues that are creating challenges in your life and shift them with ease.

All the work is self-referential-  you always get to determine what is working for you and what is not and whether it has shifted the issue or experience we're working on. (If it didn't, there's more work to do and we continue the process until the shift occurs! ) 

Coaching Vs. Counseling/Therapy

Essence Coaching: 

  • Empowers you to be the greatest authority on yourself and your experience and helps you gain new understanding and insights about yourself.

  • A relational model that allows coaches to share their relevant personal experience with clients and connect on a personal level.

  • Uses an approach and process that is not heavily dependent on client-therapist rapport and relationship and can create dynamic sifts and insights in short amounts of time. 

  • Is present to future focused (most of the time) and gives you insights and tools for moving forward and focusing on what can be shifted or changed to improve your life experience. 

  • Employs tools like Transformational Kinesiology that help you get right to the most important key issues and quickly adjust and change them.

  • Work with people who have lived through the types of challenges you’re going through and get it on a very personal level. 

  • Relationship of encouragement and empowerment where you are always the greatest authority on you. 

  • It's not necessary to tell stories or share painful details about your past except for key insights and learning that will help you keep moving forward with your life. 

Traditional Talk Therapy:

  • Therapist is the "expert" and depending on their approach is aiming to diagnose and treat your symptoms.

  • A relationship that is limited in very specific ways about what they therapist is allowed to share that can at times feel impersonal and disconnecting.

  • It can take many tries before you find the right therapist and many months to build trust and rapport necessary to address key issues and see results.

  • Is often based on a model that focuses on  your past and your problems or symptoms and can sometimes feel discouraging or disempowering and leave you feeling worse about yourself.

  • It can be easy to avoid key issues you don't want to look at or discuss and lots of time can be spent talking about things that aren't truly helpful or relevant.

  • The therapist may not have lived experience or understanding of what you’re going through on a personal level. 

  • A relationship of authority and hierarchy that if you don't get it right can feel dis-empowering.

  • You may spend a lot of time re-visiting past events and re-telling stories of what happened to you which can be re-traumatizing.
